Very nice hotel at Biang Niang beach”
After staying 3 days in a bungalow at Khao Lak Center, we moved to Ayara Villas Resort. What a change, got picked up by the hotels minivan and taken to the hotel. The resort is situated almost at the end of a dead end street along Biang Niang beach, so it's very quiet compared to the hotels that are closer to the main road(aprox. 1 mile= 15 min walk). There are some very nice beach restaurants near Ayara. We got a very spacious room on the 2nd floor in the main building, balcony overlooking one of the two swimmingpools. Big bed, nice bathroom and a little "kitchen". From our room we had about 150m to the restaurant, where they had a big nice breakfast buffet. Just in front of the restaurant the resort have a private beach to the sea. A wonderful sunset from there. We stayed 4 days and i must say that it was a very nice one. All staff were very attending, smiling, and always said hello whenever or whereever you met them. Cleaning was super too. Ayara Villas Resort is the place to go if you want a relaxing holiday in calm sorroundings.

Great Winter Break”
We were looking for a quite place to start our winter holidays away from Sydney with 11 nights at the Ayara Villas. Surely the resort is well and truly past his peak but for us it was pitch perfect. We had a beach front villa and with all the monsoonal rain coming in we had to batten down the hatches several times which we loved doing and being amongst the elements. We loved having the small beach to ourselves and there weren't many other people at the resort due to low season which was another plus for us. Staff was great, friendly and helpful in anyway possible in particular Nuu she was funny and great to deal with. Rooms and facilities were cleaned well and gym was much better that we expected. Breakfast was very basic but you could order whatever you liked in regards to cooked food and being in Khao Lak food supply is abundant all around. We started to watch the world cup but couldn't get all channels on TV so they rushed to replace with newer TV. All in all perfect for us.

A birthday surprise”
I got a great deal at Ayara Villas Hotel and so automatically I was pleased. Then when I got there, early in the morning, the check in took less than 10 minutes and I was able to go to sleep. Before I arrived I emailed the hotel to see if they had sunscreen for sale and they didn't, but offered to go buy what I wanted if I told them and gave them a budget. Or I could ask the driver who picked me up at the airport to stop at a 7-11. Super easy. The breakfast was great and the restaurant on the beach, but the hotel is also with in walking distance to an amazing amount of restaurants. Including the Rusty Pelican, a great little mexican joint. The highlight of my experience with the hotel was that one day when I went down to arrange a massage (decent tourist prices) the front desk staff brought out a little cake and sang happy birthday to me. There I was , alone on my holiday, and the hotel recognize my birthday. To me that makes the place a little extra special, because I would not have expected them to do that.

Paradise on a Beach”
The Ayara Villa at Bang Niani Beach is a slice of paradise. From our first welcome by the staff to our departure, they were helpful and friendly. Our room, in the main building was large and had lots of natural light flowing into it. We enjoyed the complementary tea, coffee and cookies served every afternoon. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of western and Thai food available. The main pool was good for swimming lengths. The beach goes on forever and you can walk along it for hours. We didn't have any problems with jellyfish when we were there in February. There are many restaurants and a night market within walking distance. I would definitely stay at the Ayara Villas again!

Enjoyable, relaxing, fun”
We were the only ones staying here at the time, we had booked three nights, with a pool entrance, and two nights with beach access. We were about to move straight into the beach access room, which was lovely. It was quiet and peaceful, we were looked after so well. Ayara Villas is a good walk from 'town', but we hired a motorbike. A lot easier riding around Khao Lak than in Phuket.

Awesome stay in pool access room”
We had a great time at Ayara Villas. We were lucky enough to get an agoda flash deal which upgraded us from a standard room to a pool access. The pool access was great and we loved the shallow part directly in front of the room. We loved Khao Lak and Ayara Villas and we will be back

Nice stay on Bang Niang”
One notch off of location, because of how the whole Bang Niang area is set up, the main road is somewhat far from the main hotel area at the beach, but luckily there are a few nice local restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel is very first-time-in-Thailand-friendly, but not in a way that would bother a more seasoned traveler. The villas are spacious, clean and well maintained. Staff is super friendly as is usual. A lot of stuff on buffet breakfast, not much rotation, but you can create your own rotation. No keycards in villas, which is awesome! The only hotel in the northern end of the beach that actually has a sandy beach with plenty of sunbeds instead of concrete pier for restaurant tables. Pool areas are not huge, but perfectly adequate.

Good service from all the staff. Great location. ”
All the reviews were right about this hotel, we had a lovely week. However, there are a lot of children that monopolise the pool areas, so be aware of this. There were no other English in this hotel and it appeared to be mainly Scandanavian. The library had no English books, so take plenty. Wi fi is free and relatively good here. Nice beach, hawkers but no trouble. Plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. Beach bar. Beer was sold at a good price here compared with all the other restaurants and hotels. Pleasant food.Superb breakfasts with great staff.hotel supples free tea and coffee between 3 and 4pm every day, beware of the queues. There were a lot of people being stung by jellyfish in the sea off the hotel beach. The staff are obviously aware and when I got stung 3 times so they were quite used to supplying vinegar. A sign would be helpful to warn people especially as I suffer with bad allergic reactions and was Ill for 2 days after. The hotel is not far from a village, however there is a lack of transport in this area, so be prepared to walk.we thought the taxi's would be stopping for us as they do in Khao Lak, but this is not so.The hotel run a one way shuttle at 6pm for 40 thb into Khao Lak.a suggestion would be a morning drop off and collection shuttle as well as an additional pick up in the evenings from Khao Lak. Having just come from Bangkok and Chiang Mia in the north we noticed that at this area was expensive in comparison.massages ad The organised trip to the similean islands was superbly organised, well worth doing.take tshirt and leggings if you don't have UV clothes as lots of people were stung also. Hotel trips and hole adi service was all good, however 50% more expensive than done locally. The room was cleaned every day.the kitchen area had kettle had an oven and sink which was great.the hotel supply 2 bottles free water daily. We were kindly upgraded to a bungalow by the pool, superb.on occasions it was like our own .That is till the

Back to Ayara”
After trying other hotels in Khao Lak area, we really missed the friendly environment of Ayara Villa. The staff was sincerely happy to see us again, they want to teach us Thai language. We got the same Twin Bungalow in the garden area. This time we had a problem with the hot water, it didn`t work but it was solved within half an hour. Maybe the maintenance of the resort should be done more often.

Good quality resort, not amazing, but no faults”
Good location in Bang Niang area of Khao Lak, almost at the end of the road along the beachfront, approx. 5-10 minute walk from the main road. Reasonably spacious resort (unlike some others in Thailand at a similar price point which seem to get crammed in to narrow strips of land). Nice welcome from reception. Rooms are very large, with decent decoration, but rather dark due to combination of poor lighting and lots of surrounding foliage (stayed in 'Garden Villa'). Breakfast was reasonably good. Beachfront area is nice with lots of sun loungers, but somewhat worn-looking sun shades/umbrellas. Overall a good quality resort, which doesn't stand out as exceptional, but has no real faults either. Would recommend.

Great location close to the ocean”
I stayed at Ayara Villas for two nights before my liveaboard diving trip. The hotel provided a shuttle service to pick me up from the city center and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is a the end of a strip of resorts on Banyan Beach, making a little more secluded and magical. The rooms were tastefully decorated in an eco friendly manner.

Good hotel at good price”
Agoda gave the good price for this stay, the hotel is in quiet area of Khao lak. The room and balcony has plenty space, bathroom has no tub and clean. The room has a mini kitchen equipped with a toaster, fridge, mini-bar, wash sink. The parking space was fine, just in front of the lobby. Overall very satisfied with the stay, the service isn't like the high class 5 stars hotel, but it's fair for this small hotel.

very good location and friendly staff”
we had a pleasant relaxed stay at ayara villas. they have their own "private beach", which is very nice. the rooms are spacious. though we'd say the cleanliness is average. be careful not to break one of the complimentary water bottles - they charge 50 baht for it (we consider it a bit exaggerated). an overall good experience though!

Great hotel and have service mind”
Ayara Villas Hotel is great hotel. Receptionists are good service and convenient location. I can relax when I walk on the baech. I like afternoon tea time with a good view and have a good breakfast in morning. Hotel near the beach and in the evening I can go to market or plaza by walk.

Good place to relax and swim but need taxi to town”
I originally booked through Agoda for 1 night then booked 10 more nights. Full Rack rate rooms are way overpriced in my opinion. Ayara Villas has swim out deluxe rooms, villas in garden setting and on the beach. I had a second floor deluxe room overlooking the large pool with a large balcony that included two chairs. Rooms are good size, walk in shower with plenty of hot water and good pressure. Loved the mini kitchenette with refrigerator, sink, toaster oven to heat food, kettle and plates, flatware, glasses. As other reviewers have said, the rooms tend to be "dark" either because they are in the garden with dense greenery (and mozzies) or because they are in a room with the large overhang of bamboo which I can only guess is to minimize the water on the balcony when it rains "sideways" in Thailand. The interior lighting is not really adequate for reading or to brighten up the guestroom on a very rainy/dark day. Oddly there is not one piece of artwork on the walls. But the room was clean and in good condition. My biggest challenge was the internet and after talking with other guests in the hotel, we all agree the FREE wifi is not very good. Despite the fact that the router was just outside my room, the signal frequently went off/on...very annoying. The balcony signal seemed to be better which leads me to think the concrete construction of the hotel is part of the problem with the lack of good signal. The night manager came to my room one night because I had complained about the signal and she was clearly annoyed that I would question the FREE internet and compare it to the quality in my home country. I have traveled to Thailand many times over the years and wifi is not good anywhere except Bangkok. Upscale hotels offer LAN access as well as wifi because they know wifi signals are not stable. Noi and Front Desk staff were sweet and helpful.

Perfect hotel from which to explore Khao Lak”
We loved our stay at Ayara Villas. The location is great-very close to the beach (especially enjoyed the restaurant right on the beach and the amazing breakfast buffet) The rooms were large and tastefully decorated with everything you would need to be comfortable. A great feature is the amazing swimming pool which we spend many hours lodging around. I would definately recommend this hotel for your stay in the area!!!

Perfect spot for shopping and exploring. Beach at 3 mins.”
The hotel extends on 3 (tiny) streets. Walking time from the back to the front of the hotel is 3 minutes, so very close, don't be put off. The Restaurant is see front, great view. Private use bungalows are right around this grassy area. There's a gym there too, but no Beach, although access to the see is provided via concrete steps. Two storey bungalows/villas are right behind, between the first and second street, within lush, tropical vegetation. I was in the hotel's main building, one street back. This building is new, modern and very well maintained. The rooms are very large, airy and clean. The bottom flow rooms have direct access to the pool. 3 big swimming pools (one per block) with plenty of loungers. Kids play area and massaging water jets and also present. This resort is absolutely lovely. Staff are very helpful and would go the extra mile to help. Scooters can be hired at reception for only 250baht. A beautiful Beach is 3 min from reception, not on site. Town is 15 mins away.

Calm,relaxing and quiet.”
Ayara is a quiet place at the end of a blocked street so there is very little traffic..Unusual design of pool area and surrounding rooms. Big clean modern rooms with big beds and nice bathroom. Cafe/breakfast area overlooks beach which stretches for miles in both directions. There are only a few bungalows near the beach and most rooms are about 100m back next to the pool area so you have best of both worlds.

Delightful hotel for relaxing dew days”
Really enjoyed the few days we spent here, we were escaping the madness of Patong so took a 2 hour drive north to Khao Lak. , had a lovely view of the pool and was well appointed, however the airconditioner had that familiar mildew smell, we were moved to a corner room, 201, also with a view of the pool, much larger, perfect for a small family. Breakfast was at the restaurant on the beach, a good variety, something for everyone, the staff kept the fruit well stocked, the lady that made the eggs was very obliging. We spent the mornings at the beach, sea is warm and inviting, plenty of beach loungers and sun umbrellas. Pool is gorgeous, cool and refreshing. I recommend heading to Chom Talay restaurant, on the other side of Casa Flora, food is made fresh by a wonderful Thai lady chef. Ate there three times. Also great spot for a massage. Mot has amazing hands :)

Nice new facilty”
The complex, situated a taxi drive of about one hour 15 (or 2000 Baht) from Phuket airport, and this part of Khao Lak is called Ban Ban Biang. The facilities are divided in three sections. One directly at the beach where the sea view bungalows are and the restaurant, separated from the garden bungalow (with a small pool) section by a small (quiet) street and this again by a small street separated from the main complex. The pool access rooms in the main building are very nice but this feature (the pool start at the end of your terrace) is its weakness at the same time meaning your privacy might be at risk. Over all we had a very pleasant stay!
