Beautiful small hotel with great staff”
we stayed at the sabai@kan for 3 nights - 2 adults and 3 kids aged 13, 11, 9. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. it is a great little hotel with beautiful gardens and a pool, with a great location, on the main strip within walking distance of the town centre and the river kwai bridge. we requested and were given two adjacent rooms, which were spacious, tastefully decorated, light, clean and tidy. the outlook onto the well-maintained gardens and pool area was lovely. the pool is small but provided a welcome cool-down at the end of each day. breakfasts and evening meals were great, although there are plenty of other options for dinner a short walk up the road. the staff were very friendly and helpful. we would highly recommend the sabai@kan if you are looking for a family-friendly, comfortable, cosy hotel with lovely gardens near the centre of kanchanaburi.

Nice, clean and friendly guesthouse”
The Sabai@Kan Resort is not directly located in the bar/ restaurant area of Kanchanaburi, however, that area can be easily accessed by taxi or tuk-tuk. In walking distance of the guesthouse are as well a few bars/ restaurants, however, the area is more quiet. The bridge over the river kwai is within walking distance. The staff in the guesthouse was very friendly and helpful regarding any questions/ travel inquiries we had. There is a good a choice for the breakfast. The room was big and clean.

Best getaway at Kanchanaburi”
We are a family of 3, so generally it is really hard to find a triple room. But we found one here at sabai @ kan! For a price of 2000 bahts per night, I did not expect it to be this great: friendly staffs, super clean rooms, nice location (5 min walk to river Kwai bridge), and great garden. Though from the outside looks like a regular hotel, all the rooms are basically built facing a very beautiful pool garden in the middle of the resort. I love how they organize such a small space into a very relaxing and good place to chill. There are hammocks that you can sleep on while reading books and watch your children have fun at the pool. Overall, this hotel is hidden gems in Kan Chanaburi. Recommended (10/10)

Excellent ++++++++++++++++++++++++++”
Perfect Hotel/Resort in Kanchanaburi. Beautiful grounds, nice small pool, super clean large rooms with panoramic windows overlooking the grounds. Staff were so lovely and efficient. They must love their jobs. Platform beds -so comfortable, sitting area, coffee/tea making facilities, refrigerator, bottled water replenished daily, superb bathrooms with really nice shower, and a combination safe. They have a small restaurant where free breakfast is served. Also have lunch and dinner. So quiet at night you can hear a Mango fall from the trees. You can have an in room massage for 200 baht which was appreciated for the feet and lower legs after a day at the Hellfire Pass. Also, this is a non smoking facility which we appreciated. Although we had cars I believe you can walk to the Bridge, Cemetery, and Museum in about 15 minutes. I actually reviewed many hotel/resorts before choosing Sabai@Kan and am glad that I did. You will not be disappointed, believe me.

Exceptional”
We stayed for 3 nights in April when it was really hot, and Sabai@Kan offered a true oasis after a day's travelling or sight-seeing. The rooms are situated around an attractive garden, with lush trees and greenery and a small swimming pool which is extremely inviting to cool down in at the end of the day. The rooms are simple, but equipped with everything you need. The reception staff speak excellent English and were great at booking taxis for trips and making sure the driver was fully briefed. It's a short walk to Bridge over the River Kwai in one direction and the museum, WW2 cemetery and the main restaurant and bar areas of Kanchanaburi in the other. There is also a restaurant right across the street which does great salads and pizza and cocktails. My only reservation was the very hard bed, but that seems to be the Thai style.

Always a great stay when at Sabai@Kan Resort”
I always now stay at Sabai@Kan Resort when in Kanchanaburi. There rooms are nice and basic and clean! They have a beautiful garden area to sit in and relax during breakfast and the day. The ladies at reception are wonderful and always helpful! If you want a massage they call up a local massage place where ladies will come for foot massage and oil massage and they are really good! Highly recommend Sabai@Kan Resort. I think the only problem is always going to be other travelers being loud staying at the resort thinking they can yell at their kids which is a bit of a shame as other than that it is a nice quiet place. Maybe be quieter during the week :)

"A Pleasant Stay with World Class Service!"”
i booked sabai@kan for its location and good feedbacks and it turned out to be better than expected. my queries were well-attended and answered before booking. i was well-received at the reception on my first check-in which was a stark contrast to the hotel i stayed in at bangkok. i was impressed when i was shown to my room next. it was simply one of the best resort style room i ever stay in so far. well-furnished, clean and tidied. two staffs were always present at the reception and ready for the guests. they were knowledgeable about queries on travel tips, locations and ways to get there. they even help expedite reliable transport and massage services. look out for a chinese couple who would always be there to help with a smile. a non-chinese young lady who's the only one not in uniform. she spoke good english with much knowledge about travelling in thailand. also, there's this tall and lanky lady in charge of the dining room. she took food orders fast and handle questions with good english and politeness. i felt at home for my 2 nights stay at sabai@kan. i seem to be part of a host family though they are just hotel staffs. a true world-class service resort hotel. perhaps they can consider opening one at bangkok since its the capital and definitely a shopping hub and unfortunately, the one i stayed in bangkok was horrible.

Excellent Hotel! Would stay again!”
I enjoyed my stay at Sabai Kan. For the price, you will not find a better hotel than this in Kanchanaburi. The hotel is well maintained and very clean. The location is excellent as it is very close to the River Kwai bridge. The staff are also helpful and friendly. The free breakfast is great as well. If I am in Kanchanaburi again, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Great stay”
We really enjoyed our stay at Sabai@Kan Resort. The location was just down the road from the River Kwai and the museums as well as shopping, food and river attractions. The staff was helpful and friendly and helped us book a tour to the Erawan Falls and Death train ride. If we ever return to Kanchanaburi we would stay at the Sabai again.

A little oasis in pretty Kanchanaburi””
we booked this hotel with agoda at night including breakfast and wifi. all the rooms faces the internal tropical garden and pool area and the premises are perfectly manicured. we had a room on the first floor with a huge window; at night with the window opened it feels like you are sleeping on the tress themselves. the water flowing in the little fountain in the garden was very relaxing and added a touch of zen to the ambience. breakfast is good (buffet style) with eggs, noodles, french toast, fresh fruits etc. only complaint: the bed and pillows are extremely hard! but this appears to be a problem with most beds in thailand. the hotel is only 800 mt. to the famous bridge over the river kwai and to the main toustic strip on the other end. we rented a brand new scooter fro 200 bht/day from a massage place just 5 minutes down the street from sabai @ kan ("khun thip", it will be on your left going towards the restaurants area and you will see she has cars and scooters for rent just outside her door). the massage there is not very good but the rental is great. we also rented a car from her for only day. we would definitely go back to sabai @ kan.

Exceptional”
We spent 3 nights at Sabai@kan and found it a great base from which to explore Kanchanaburi. Convenient location within walking distance of the Death Railway Bridge and, in the opposite direction, of the bars/restaurants. And if you prefer something quieter there is a very good restaurant across the road, Som Tum Yum Sap. It's only a few minutes by tuk tuk to the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, and spoke excellent English. They gave us information about the local bus to Erawan Falls that saved us a trip into the bus station and provided a packed breakfast when we had to depart early to catch the train back to Bangkok. The garden and pool provided a peaceful haven at the end of hot sticky days. And best of all, in my view, they are taking active measures to combat the pervasive use of plastic by using reusable, sealed glass bottles for water! Well done Sabai@Kan! We would be very happy to stay here again if we returned to Kanchanaburi.

Lovely relaxing hotel”
Stayed for 3 nights at the Sabai@kan resort. Vey close to train station and charged only 100baht taxi fare. Rooms were very clean, and gardens simply superb. A small hotel where you can really relax, yet a few bars and restaurants only a few minutes walk. Staff were super friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. The standard rooms are upstairs and do not have a balcony so we upgraded for 300 baht per night for a superior room downstairs which had small seating areas outside which were on the edge of the garden area. Lovely at night and very relaxing. Would definitely go back if staying in Kanchanaburi and highly recommend a stay here.

Lovely resort hotel, close to attractions”
Picked this hotel day before travel, it looked lovely in the description and it lived up to the reviews. Lovely gardens, lovely pool, staff happy to organise taxis to River Kwai bridge or into town for a meal. River Kwai Bridge less than 15 minutes walk or better still a 40 baht trike ride (booked from hotel). Good restaurants nearby and also many bars which were of the girly bar type but still very welcoming for couples. Hotel buffet breakfast was good although not with a great selection of dishes but certainly enough for us. Room was lovely, nice size with large bathroom. Shower was good with plenty of hot water. Only small negative was room dividing walls a little thin so could hear guy next door snore which kept my girlfriend awake although not me. The air con seemed fine and quiet but developed a loud noise every so often, reported to front desk who said they would deal with that. These were minor issues of an overall superb stay at a lovely hotel. I would definitely stay again. Small Tip. We found that at night the restaurants, area around River Kwai Bridge was basically shut down, no market, most restaurants closed. Only the floating restaurant was open with a few couples eating. The evenings tend to see more people go into town (turn right out of hotel) which we did on our second night and that was a real fun time. Lots of good quality restaurants with a 10 minute walk or 3 minute trike ride in that area.

Perfect Hotel in Kanchanaburi”
Sabai@Kan Resort is a fantastic place to stay when you're in Kanchanaburi. The hotel and grounds are well maintained and have a relaxing feel and stylish decor. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Staff are all great and do their best to make your stay a pleasant one. The location is perfect, 10 minute walk to the bridge in one direction and 10 minutes to the "strip"(many restaurants, bars, massage, tour agencies etc)in the other direction. The area is away from the noise of the strip, yet an easy walk to it. There is a small but nice pool to cool off in after a day of sightseeing. This place is great value!

A little oasis”
We stayed at Sabai@Kan with 2 teenagers, a 6 year old and a 1.5 year old. We all loved it! The best thing about Sabai@Kan is the staff. They were so incredibly friendly and helpful. Kanchanaburi was our first stop in Thailand. It was so great having their help to plan our days, arrange for taxis, etc. I can't say enough about the staff. By the end of our stay, the kids (including the teenagers) were all attached. The pool, even though it isn't huge, was great. Deep enough so that the teenagers really enjoyed themselves. The only thing is that there is a strip of extremely slippery tiles. Even when you know they are slippery, they still get you. Apart from that, everything was great. Within walking distance to one of the markets and restaurants although we ended up eating at the hotel most of the time. Maybe it's because it was the first place we stayed at, but it made a lasting impression with our kids.

Great value for money.”
We have stayed in Kanchanaburi on several occasions, but the sabai@kan resort offers the best value for money. It is located within walking distance of the bridge and of great value restaurants and bars. The staff spoke very good English and were extremely helpful and cheerful. Rooms were very clean and the hotel offered an inclusive breakfast and access to very pleasant grounds and swimming pool. We used the hotel for a base for playing golf and sightseeing.
