BREATHTAKING GETAWAY”
The resort offered us a well deserved rest at the end of our Thailand journey. The resort setting was awesome and the comfort that it offered was very good. The staff was very helpful and saw to our every request. The room was spacious with a huge double bed and if that was not luxurious enough it also had a single bed. Space was no issue. The room opened onto a deck with a bamboo raft extension to it. You could also sleep with the sliding doors open if you wanted to, you needed only close the mosquito net doors. Too warm make your way to the river pool. Although not deep, it is fantastic to cool off and feel the water rush past you. Our few visits to the restaurant especially for breakfast and suppers offered tasty and good food. The view from the upstairs deck is exceptionally romantic. The restaurant played a CD I wanted. The waitress offered to purchase it for me at the local 7Eleven. I gave her the money and the next morning at breakfast she presented it to me. An astonishing experience getting that type of service. The only luxury that we missed at this resort was a hospitality tray and a safe, but other than that it was amazing. I will go back there again to spend a relaxing holiday there. For travellers that have not been to the sightseeing sites in Kanchanaburi it takes 1 hour to town so plan your trip properly. We did all the sight when we arrived to Kanchanaburi from Bangkok via a private transfer and our intention was to relax and recover from a heavy 17 days. Boutique Raft Resort River Kwai, Thank you for making us feel so welcome and memorable.

A unique and amazing experience on the Kwai River”
my hubby and i recently enjoyed a lovely two nights at the boutique raft resort river kwai. the rooms are rustic cabin style with thai decor. they are special because they are actually floating on the fast flowing river. we were able to relax in the airconditioned room or on the deck which is right on the water. all rooms have amazing views along the river and unlike a few nearby raft resorts they do have hot water. some would find the beds quite hard as they had futon style mattresses which we found were common in many of the places we stayed in thailand. we were often the only people in the restaurant which overlooked the river and tropical surrounds, but the service was excellent as were the really cheap thai meals. here you are quite close to local attractions such as the tiger temple, elephant riding and hellfire pass but a long way from the bridge over the river kwai and the war museum. trips to all these places can be arranged from the resort.

Great Raft resort at River Kwai!!!”
My first time to stay on raft at River Kwai , I met this resort in Agoda , the photo look nice and attract me to booking. When I arrive my booking room full , so resort upgrade me to bigger raft. + Resort staff very polite and ready to support guest. + Nice building decoration. + The raft are spectaculars , great view , my room have a small pool like a natural Jacuzzi. + Bathroom so big and have bathtub. + Cleanliness , housekeeper are good. + Main pool are nice and safe , do not swim in the river - tide are rapidly , if you need resort prepare life vest for you. + Taste of food are good , do not go out for dinner. + Incredible experience for my first time on raft. + Manythings here are great , over my expectation. - Cable TV do not operate but can fix by resort technical. - Breakfast not much type of food but the taste good. - More insects in this area , should prepare insect repellent by yourself. - If other resort have a party , the noise can annoy you but may be not over 10:00pm.

Chilled and Touched. Highly recommended for couples, group of 4-6 friends. ”
Not expecting with such far away location but it was amazing and can not describe our satisfaction just by reviewing it. Pros: - Room: I booked river kwai suit and stayed for 4 nights. Room and its facility is well maintained, river view is spacious and starry night was so nice. Hot water is fare, lighting is hamonised minibar is affordable price. - Food: delicious and reasonable price in comparision going out. We went out 1 nite only, all our meals are served here and really into its taste. They reduce spicy a bit to adjust for foreigner. No need to search for other restaurant and they offer room service until 9:30pm if you love eating with the cool river view. - Staff: from the driver picking us up on the 1st day to each and everyone in resort, they are dedicated and friendly, willing to support - Nearby CVS ( 711, tesco, cj) just 1km away should you need snacks, other stuff - Location: 5 minutes from Nam Tok train station, 5 mintues from Public Bus station... Cons: - Room: they should change the blanket as the towel and pillow is at standard level but blanket is struggling us while sleeping - Location: good but not good for those who is not willing to spend an hour traffic to Kanchanaburi downtown. But for us, we rent scooter ( ask the reception) and use it to explore erawan waterfall, kanchanaburi and around, everyday we travel 120km from the resort and versa. Should I make it as pros instead? :)

very fun boutique hotel with beautiful grounds”
we booked this hotel as a fun getaway from the business of bangkok and got every baht worth from the boutique raft river resort river kwai! because we booked and stayed during the tourist off-season we were, for a while, the only guests of the hotel. even with only two guests the hotel was run as if it were full, every amenity was available and the staff was gracious and friendly. the rooms are a bit spartan compared to what you will normally get in a hotel, but that was expected because of the uniqueness of staying on a raft in the river! the rooms and furniture are made of wood and thatch and while simple have a beauty that matches the surrounding landscape. breakfast was included and we also ate dinners at the hotel restaurant, very good food, excellent prices and all prices were valid as room service (cheapest room service i've ever seen.) we availed ourselves of the hotels tour services and were taken to several different area attractions by our helpful, friendly, and attentive guide. the prices and attractions were very good.

Boutique accommodation in the middle of nature”
small hotel with building rooms and raft rooms right at the river kwai. it is the perfect place for a family trip just outside bangkok. until the opening of the riverhouse, the boutique rafts is the only floating raft hotel in this area with full facilities: eg. rooms have air-condition, electricity, hot water and free wifi. the swimming pool is very original, its a swimming pool inside the river.the restaurant is located on the 2nd floor (rooftop) of the building. the only downturn was, since i had a room in the building, that i could hear every footstep from the people walking up to the restaurant. especially in the morning, it was unpleasant.

just awesome ”
as soon as we arrived at the resort we knew it was something special. in a jungle setting right on the river it was just beautiful with views to the surrounding mountains and the peaceful sounds of the river kwai flowing benath our raft. the hotel restaurant had delicious dishes for reasonable prices in a magical setting overlooking the river and mountains, and there were also a few other floating restuarants just down the road. we did 6 of the hotels tours in 3 days, and although a little pricey were well worth the money - as we had a english speaking guide for the whole day and an air conditioned car. the hotel staff were fantastic and their service was excellent. they spoke english well and were really friendly. the best thing about the rooms was the balcony that looked right out onto the water, great for relaxing and taking it all in. we loved this hotel and will definitely be back when we come again next year!

Unique hotel on the river”
Had a great stay at the Boutique Raft Resort. We didn't organize a ride to the hotel from the Nam Tok train station but there is usually a taxi waiting there. Wanted to save money so we walked to the hotel (about 3km). Greeted with a welcome drink and friendly staff. The floating rooms were quite unique. The balcony had chairs overlooking the river. Rooms were clean though walls were pretty thin. Hotel is aware of this and asks guests to respect quite hours starting at 10PM. Good place to just relax. They had activities at the front desk ranging from Erwan Waterfalls, to elephant bathing, to rafting the river. Somewhat expensive but is almost equivalent to taking a taxi around to those places. At least you have a reliable guide if you go through the hotel. The move activities you book, the more of a discount you get! The filling breakfast was a selection of American, continetal, or Thai.

much needed time with rustic nature”
I chose this boutique above the rest because of their prompt communication in English and their reknown hospitality. Even the local driver that took us to Erawan praised their standards of hospitality compared to neighbouring Raft resorts. They helped me find routes and best (and cheapest) options to get around, and were attentive to the needs of my friends and I. I got to stay on Raft room 1 & 4.... they had to move us due to some piping issue so it was nice to compare. It was obvious room 1 was more sound proofed from the river noise at night but overall it was a comfortable and clean stay by the river. Breakfast and dinner was good quality and variety although taste could not beat some of the street vendors we tried. Amenities were great for relaxation. Love the all wood natural feel and attention to details. I highly recommend this place.

Great rooms right on the river”
The hotel is set on the banks of the River Kwai, a couple of kilometres south of Sai Yok Waterfall and 50 or so kilometres north of Kanchanaburi town. A generally peaceful location though we hear that at weekends in season, a number of disco/karaoke boats cruise up and down the river which does somewhat spoil the ambiance! Luckily we were there mid week so it was generally very peaceful except for a few high speed long tail boats which sometimes went up or down the river, mainly taking tourists on trips. The hotel has rooms in the main building plus 6 rooms on 2 rafts on the river itself reached from the bank via pontoons - it looked like an additional 3 rooms are being constructed on a nearby raft. Although we didn't go in one, the rooms in the hotel seemed fairly ordinary but the raft rooms were definitely the best part of the hotel and were extremely well designed and perfect for their location. They were in a designer rustic style but in more pleasant light woods rather than the heavy dark wood which seems so popular in Thailand, so had a nice light feel. The ceilings were around 4 metres high and size of the rooms were larger than average so it all felt very spacious. There was then a 3 metre or so 'patio' between the bedroom and the river itself. There was no railing or fence on the patio between you and the river so you really were right next to the water but cleverly, to make you (or your child) secure, there was a 2 metre or so wide semi submerged bamboo raft running about half a metre beneath and in front of the patio, all along the side of the raft, so if you did fall off the patio, you would only fall onto the raft, not directly into the river. Best of all, on the river 'wall' in the room, they had clear glass approx 3 metres high and covering 95% of the wall width so even when it was too hot and one had to retreat into the air-conditioned room, one still had wonderful views of the river right from the (comfortable) bed (one double and one single.

Very Nice Hotel with awesome staff”
We were doing the death railway and river Kwai tour and booked this hotel from Canada. The hotel is away out from Kanchanaburi but definitely worth the drive after the day! The raft room was all exotic wood and very nice, the beds were comfortable. The meals were of a very good selection and quality if you have the time i would recommend staying more than 1 night. The staff was very friendly and eager to make your stay a comfortable and enjoyable one.

Nice getaway, good experience hotel”
Like the quietness specially early in the morning when we able to just stepped out of our bedroom, we can just sit outside and enjoy the river water sound. The room is quite comfortable, spacious , clean and stable despite it is on the fast flowing river , we don't feel shaky or motion sickness, and is very quiet unless we open our door we will able to hear the water flowing sound. The only cons is the location. It is a bit far to travel around places, we will have to book private car to nearby attractions. Overall quite satisfied with the resort and services. Will be ideal to stay for 2 nights instead of 1. On the day of arrival to Bangkok airport, we took private cab to Bangkok bus terminal. from bus terminal, we catch a bus to Kanchanaburi . From Kanchanaburi we catch another bus to a bus stop that was nearest to the Resort (The resort pick us up at the bus stop) . The whole bus journey from Bangkok was a really great experience, I think we were the only 2 tourist who travel like local. On the second day, we choose Erawan waterfall as our only attraction to visit before heading back to Bangkok. We booked private car from resort to Erawan waterfall (40mins travel distance) and spend about 4 hours at Erawan. The driver drove us from Erawan waterfall to bus terminal so we can catch a bus back to go back Bangkok.

Fun and tired from floating in the river”
We went there by car so it's not too hard to get there but not sure about how to get there by public transportation. There are two type of rooms one on the side of the river on raft and one on the building. The one on the bulding would have TV and DVD player but no TV on the raft which is a little sad. There is no hair dryer so bring one if u need it. The lbby is nice with welcome drink. There are some DVDs and games u can lend. We played domino at night. There are rafts on the balcany of the raft room. U can get into the river bu beware cuz the current is so fast. And the only way to get off the river is by climbing the raft yourself which is very tiring and might not be able to do by everyone. There is a swimming pool like place but intead of regular pool water u get river water. The food is nice and quite cheap. The bathroom has te biggest mirror ever which is very impressive. Overall it's a nice good price place to stay. If u r into river floating this could be your heaven. But be sure to wear the life jacket!

Gorgeous Location, but far from civilization”
I suppose when we booked this room, we should've looked closer at it's exact location to Kanchanaburi...We thought we were booking a room 5-10minutes outside the city limits on the River Kwai....When we arrived at the Kanchanaburi Bus Terminal, taxi's wanted to charge us baht (about $37usd) to take us to the hotel....We opted to take a local, unairconditioned bus, which only cost baht, but took a hot, sweaty 1.5 hours to get near our hotel!!! We were dropped off in front of a shop, but had no idea where to go. Thankfully, the kind shopkeeper took pity on us and called the Boutique River Raft and the owner came and got us within 10 minutes! Once we arrived at the hotel, things went much smoother...The hotel is set in a jungle river paradise. The River Raft rooms are looooovely and spacious! The free breakfast was an added bonus! They've built a "swimming pool" raft into the river which is fun to swim in and lounge next to on a quiet day...Hotel staff were friendly and efficient! Unfortunatetly, leaving was just as difficult as arriving. We'd booked a bus to Bangkok from a nearby bus stop....Unfortunately, the bus was 1.5 hours late, and when it arrived, there was only standing room available (for the duration of the 4-5 hr trip back to BKK)....We decided NOT to take that bus, couldn't get a refund. We instead opted again for the un-air con bus back to Kanchanaburi then on to BKK.... Overall, our stay was pleasant at the hotel, but getting to and from the hotel almost caused us to lose our religion! L(

Lovely Rooms on the River, excellent service & foo”
We found the rooms to be very nicely designed of wood, with wooden floors and walls, and large windows & sliding glass doors that open right onto the river. The bathroom is large, and the room was of good size too, w one queen and one single bed. There is a safe in the room for security. The location is quite good as there is a corner store just one minute walk away where you can rent good bicycles, motorbikes, and get any kind of tour you like. You can also get tours directly from the hotel. However, during the high season be sure to book in advance - tours were filled up, though we eventually did do the kayak/canoe trip down the river and it was very peaceful with a good guide - though a bit pricey. The bamboo raft trip down river is nice but pricey unless you have a larger group going - it is however, quite short. The staff members were extremely helpful, very accommodating! One evening we were coming back late on motorbike after hiding out from the rain w a massage. So we called the hotel and they prepared a great dinner us, with anything we wanted from the kitchen, even though we returned at 10 PM - and they had it ready as we returned at our room. The one problem with the rooms on the river is that the walls are very thin. You can hear the neighbors talking - though they also hear you so ...most go to sleep at a decent hour because this is not really a party scene here - the lovely setting is in a natural area right on the river. However, if you are concerned about quiet/privacy, then I recommend a room in the building on the riverbank, and these are very soundproof, or get the honeymoon suite floating cottage. I will definitely return there, great location, scenic, large and pretty rooms, excellent views, great food, and excellent service.

Location location location ”
You can forgive a lot of things for a location such as this, but at the boutique raft resort you don’t have to. The staff are friendly, helpful and speak good English. The accommodation is as per photos, the restaurant serves excellent Thai cuisine and there is an overal feel of tranquility here. Only a couple of recommendations, quieter air con units and repairing the fly screens on the sliding doors would be nice. Thank you all for a lovely experience, Sam and Dean, London - 23-1-18

relaxing stay”
The canteen above its reception offers nice food to my surprise. Breakfast was nice enough, I also ordered club sandwich for supper and minced pork with garlic rice for lunch. To be honest, I wasn't quite impressed by the soulless canteen at first sight but grew comfortable as time goes by. Hotel cleanliness was disappointing though I shouldn't complain too much since the resort is built right by the nature. Just be careful when you leave your food unwrapped, the ants colony report to scene as fast as the crime investigators! Although it is just a 5 min drive away from Sai Yok waterfall, it is almost an hour ride to the real deal: Erawan Waterfalls. While riding back and forth, I realized there are many other resorts side lining the River Kwai like this too. But my first love will always be this resort. In case you are wondering, there's a small "glass house" as the counter staff termed 2 mins walk from this resort that offers motorbike rental. Got mine for 500baht a day. Car rental is stated but "it was not available on that day" when I was there so I guess don't rely on this option if you need to!

Awesome hotel in gorgeous setting”
just relaxing and hanging out on the grounds of boutique raft is great getaway, but the staff prepared an amazing itinerary of activities for me. i was driven to erawan waterfalls, sai yok yai national park where they arranged a private raft for me and lunch. you will really feel like you are in the middle of the jungle while staying there with the early morning mist and sounds of animals, the rushing kwai, and the beautifully manicured plants and flowers.

a tranquil getaway for a spiritual rejuvation!”
the resort is conveniently located within 5 minutes drive from Nam Tok railway station, which is the last stop of the Thon-Buri to Nam Tok line of the historical Death Railway. It is also well situated near to the Hellfire Pass, which tells the history of the World War II as experienced by the POWs. The resort is literally located next to River Kwai, and you just got to choose the river-facing room where you can just spend your time away with a good book or just relaxing and hearing the sound of the river from your room. We were so relaxed we even requested for room service, and food was delivered to our room. Wifi was strong, so it doesnt matter that there is no TV in the room. Would like it if their breakfast has a better spread, as the breakfast pales in comparison with their room service offerings.
