very nice resort with absolute friendly staff”
we had an absolute relaxed and good time at baan amphawa. the rooms are nice though there is not much space to place things. the whole resort is nice designed and at very beautiful spot at the river. after all and compared to other hotels of this class we can say that we had here the best value for money and above all the most friendly and helpful staff. don't miss the spa section that'll take you out of "the real world" though it is bit more expensive than other regular massage services. nevertheless the ladies are very well trained and skilled and gave us an impression of their skills with a 5 min. welcoming massage at the lobby when we arrived! we'll come back!

A lovely hotel with a very relaxing environment”
baan amphawa resort and spa is a very beautiful resort with an extremely serene and relaxing environment (especially when it is lighted up at night). it has an excellent spa if you are looking to go for one, though it may be a little pricey. the rooms are also relatively clean. while the resort may be a little hard to find, the staff is very helpful and there is a shuttle bus that is available after 5 pm to drop and pick you up from the night market.

I was totaly impressed by traditional Thai culture and the warmth and happiness of the staff. The staff could not have been more helpful. The garden and river setting were so nice and the swimming pools were a real feature. But the outstanding feature apart from the great accomodation was the wondeful food Thank you Baan Amphawa

A touch of Thai style luxery”
A wonderful hotel close to Amphawa floating market. The rooms are very well decorated and really look like a small Thai house village (choose the deluxe rooms). The hotel organize transfer to Amphawa with boat and bus shuttle which is very convenient. Breakfast is very good and will fill you with Thai and international food. One regret : we did not have time to try the spa and the swimming pool.

Comfortable stay away from Bangkok city”
It was not difficult to find, highway 9 from the Suvarnabhumi, then it naturally joins to highway 35 as you travel westward. Took about 1,5 hours. Once near the hotel there is a big white sign saying Baan Amphawa. They provide shaded parking, so the car remains cool. A few meters away is the reception, fast checkin and a golf buggy sends you to the villa. Very natural surroundings many healthy plants. About 10 minutes away is Amphawa floating market, it starts about 3 pm; but most are open by 5 pm. Also not far, about 20 minutes is Damnuen Saduk floating market; it start morning and most are closed by lunch time. There are also smaller markets around the area. Most of the small ones open on the weekend in the morning.

A perfect relaxing mini break”
Impressive mini break. It is so convenient to go to amphawa. a great genuine thai cultural and retail scene which everyone in the family can enjoy some shopping, great food, culture and nature. It only took one hour. The hotel has a great location by the river and away from the bustling market but not too far to get there. great river view of the restaurant. great food and service. We love the souvenir shops which carry all the must buy items of the area at reasonable price so we don't have to leave the hotel to park and buy things from different shops. mini bar prices are reasonably fair which is a rare find. room is small but clean and comfortable. We will do it again for sure.

Peaceful hotel”
Arrived by train from BKK to Mae Klong and took tuk-tuk to hotel. Arrived too early to check in so stored bags and took free hotel shuttle to Amphawa for weekend market. Upon our return to the hotel at 7pm we were taken to our room where our bags had already been delivered. It was a handicap accessible room. We were not satisfied with this room as everything was located closer to the floor and the shower was lower as well (and my wife is nearly 2 meters tall)! We requested a different (standard) room. Were told the hotel was full. Continued to press gently for a different room and were finally escorted to one in the next building. Room was slightly smaller than the accessible one, but at least the sink and shower were at standard height. Beds comfortable and rooms well appointed. Breakfast/restaurant is on the river. Beautiful views. Breakfast the first day was a buffet. The second day it was order American, Asian, or Continental. Not sure why it was different except maybe there was a convention at the hotel the first day and not on the second. We enjoyed one day lounging around the property's lush grounds and two pools. Not enough pool chairs by the restaurant pool, but plenty at the other pool over by reception. Hotel provides a free shuttle to/from Amphawa so although you're a good distance from the center of town, you can certainly use the shuttle to get there and back. Name your time and the van will be there to pick you up.

Again a nice stay”
We enjoyed our second stay at Amphawa Resort and surley will come back. Hopefully the rooms get a brush up like the reception. They have a bit come down and we had to notice that they (Superior rooms) are bit small whith few space to place your cloth. Nevertheless all little flaws were torn away by the outstanding welcoming atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. Above all we want to say thank you to Khun Toey and Khun Au. CU

Nice hotel with lovely location on river Mae Klong”
We stayed 2 nights. The hotel is very quiet during the week, but during weekends and holidays many Thai families are also visiting the hotel. The rooms are grouped in Thai style buildings, but not overly clean. For us it was sufficient. When we wanted to visit Amphawa or Samut Songkram we got a free transfer from the hotel to town. For the return we could call the hotel any time and the minivan came within 10 minutes to pick us up. Breakfast was OK; excellent freshly brewed coffee and view on the river with giant Iguana's. The pool lies has a view on the lovely river
