It is a very pleasant stay indeed. Like many others already mentioned in their comments, the staff and the service at Asara is among the best I’ve ever seen. Me and my girlfriend had one big problem we just realized before we landed in Hat Yai, that since our flight was landing at 1:40pm, we may not be able to make it to Koh Lipe on the same day because the last ferry sets sails at 3:30. We contact the resort about the problem, and the staff tried really hard to get us in touch with a very reliable travel agency to book a private taxi from the airport to the pier and also the ferry tickets. We were very lucky to make it to the island in the afternoon, and not waste our first night’s reservation, because of the help from the resort. The resort is not big, but very well located by the sunset beach, where you can watch the sun going down from the pool every day(also from your balcony). The honeymoon suite we are staying at is quite spacious and tidy, it comes with jacuzzi too but we didn’t use it and went kayaking in the evening instead. The breakfast is good and you get a taste of fusion foods, the spicy pork fried rice is awesome. The only thing I’d complain is Asara is on the far side of the island from the walking street, which means you need to commute if you want to have some night life. But hey! Asara has got free taxi service as well! I’d like to take this chance to thank the staff at Asara. We really enjoyed our stay and we’ll make sure to come back again.

Why you shouldn’t choose Asara as a hotel ! Firstly, the staffs are sooooooooo friendly and attentive to your request. They literally replied my Whatsapp msg in 10 secs ! Secondly, the resort is so clean, big and comfortable until we almost missed our boat to snorkeling. Luckily the staff arranged the pick up at our resort’s private beach, so we made it Thirdly, free shuttle service to wherever you want to go, we saved a lot from there. And guess what? Waiting time for each pick up was about 5 mins. Last but not least, Asara has a clean and quiet beach for you to snorkel. So these are the reason why you shouldn’t choose Asara for your holiday in Koh lipe, so when revisit to Koh Lipe, I still can stay there (at least it’s not fully booked) 🙆🏻 Thanks Asara for giving 10 star hospitality ! Will definitely stay there again !!!

Amazing resort”
We visited Asara just after they opened; perhaps only 2 months. The resort is brand new and beautifully designed. Perhaps a couple of construction deficiencies remain but nothing too serious. The staff are lovely; very attentive, gracious and they made us feel very welcome and appreciated. The highlight of Asara is the private beach. The view from each of the 12 rooms (yes, it's a small resort) overlooking the pool and into the sunset is absolutely stunning. Free private shuttle service into town was a bonus. If we ever make it back to Koh Lipe we will definitely stay at Asara again.

Asara is definitely the best resort on the island. The location is a bit hidden which makes it a perfect private resort and you can be sure that no unauthorised people would be on the beach or at the pool. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Sometimes there might be some miscommunication issues due to the English level but they definitely do their best to help the customers. The rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated. Delicious and varied breakfast and complimentary shuttle service all day long. I would recommend to everybody and if returning to Koh Lipe, would definitely stay there!! Thanks for the lovely stay.

What you see from the agoda pictures, that's what you will see in real!!!! It's slight away from walking street, but resort offer free shuttle service from 8am to 9pm. Breakfast is not buffet style, but definitely good enough without any complaint. The sand of the beach not as soft as Pattaya beach, but I observed that resort staff clean up the beach every morning, this is impress me well! The beach is considerably small and many big rocks. Not suitable for swimming. However, you can take the free snorkel equipment and do snorkeling around resort beach, many corals and fishes there! Free canoes in resort, we enjoyed it very much! Some further improvement recommended to resort: - please switch on air conditional before the guest checkin. It was extremely hot, the moment we stepped into the room. This is because the room has too many of glass doors and the heat is trapped inside during daytime. - extend free shuttle service until 10pm or 10.30pm will be great - provide outdoor hanger. We have to hang our towel/swimwear on balcony fence and it was dusty. - make sure the toiletries supply are according to number of pax for that room. I observed that housekeeping is placing to 2 pax supplies even though we have 4 pax. Overall... it is a wonderful experience to stay in ASARA. No one can beat u down!!!!

Top class service, stunning sunset view, good location...”
This small resort is new on the island that not many people know where it is. It's nested on the peaceful corner of Sunset beach with only a handful of rooms so it's quite a private and quiet lovely place. The room was spacious and clean. The obvious highlight was that magnificent sunset view looking over the Jabang channel and all other national park islands. Their service from everyone at the resort was really great. We were looked after well and they went extra miles in everything to make our stay as best possible. The free ride to town made getting around pretty easy and was worth it alone as it saved us the taxi cost of 50 baht per person per ride. The beach wasn't sandy with a lot of rocks but offered great viewing landscape. All in all, highly recommended and it's probably the reason why we would come back to Lipe again.

Amazing rooms in beautiful location”
Asara is a beautiful resort in a wonderful location away from the hustle and bustle of Walking Street. The rooms are huge, beautifully laid out and comfortably furnished with big balconies and outdoor jacuzzi baths. As there are only 12 rooms it stays peaceful. Water pressure is not amazing and if you want some hot water in the bath it takes a while to fill but it is definitely worth it! Breakfast is served on a lovely little verandah and you choose as much as you want from a range of options (waffles, toast, eggs, bacon, sausages, fried rice, yoghurt & museli and fresh fruit). It's the same every day but it's yummy. There is a free shuttle service to wherever you want to go on the island and they will pick you up again but you have to be able to call - if you don't have a working phone then ask in any restaurant or cafe and I am sure they will call for you, people are very friendly and helpful in Koh Lipe. I would not hesitate to recommend this fabulous boutique resort!

Quaint and clean resort”
A quaint and comfortable resort that doesn't break the bank! Glad that we stayed here from 23 to 26 Feb 2018. Private beach is nice as it doesn't get over crowded. But you get strays who cross the shore and boulders to get there. Taxi is available f.o.c. till 830pm. Just give a call to Bird (hotel owner) for pickup wherever you are. Breakfast menu is limited but is freshly made and of good quality. Staffs are all friendly and polite! Kayak and snorkeling masks are free to use but please take care of them! We got the Jacuzzi room and it's really spacious! Will definitely come back and stay here when we are back in Koh Lipe. Recommended!

Lovely Staff!”
We had a lovely stay at Asara. I cannot say enough great things about the staff. Customer service at its best; Bird, Cha-cha, Naiy, and Naymar were incredibly helpful and kind. My only recommendation would be to clean the private beach regularly. One morning we filled an entire trash bag full from Asara private beach. There was a lot of glass which could be hazardous. With that said, we would totally stay there again.

Stunning views, great snorkeling, comfortable rooms, good food”
Asara is situated on the side of the hill overlooking the sea and with a stunning view of Koh Adang. There is live coral and lively sea life, accessible by snorkeling right off the small beach at the resort. Rooms have soft beds, hot water in the shower and adequate (but not super speedy) wifi. The restaurant is run by a charming, capable chef -- her versions of standard Thai fare (e.g. pahd Thai and green curry) are delicious.

We stayed at the Asara Beach Resort during the Christmas holiday. The rooms and views are beautiful. Loved having a private beach and pool. The staff is amazing and go out of their way to make sure all needs are met. Definitely would stay here again.

Wish we could stay forever! ”
Don't know exactly what to start with but everything about this place is just unbelievably awesome. The location, the beautiful private beach, the rooms, the manager and staff, the food and breakfast.. All of it just exceptional! We stayed at the grand jacuzzi room and they are just perfectly sized with a beautiful view from both rooms. The bathroom is huge with a walk in closet and a dressing table. The terrace is huge with the oh so perfect jacuzzi! Everything was cleaned everyday! The small beach is another little gem. It's perfect for snorkeling and there's way more you can see closer to the shore than any of the other big beaches I visited during the day. And of course theres the planktons on the shore are night.. Was like a dream seeing them light up under ur feet when u walk by the shore. The hotel offers free snorkeling equipment and some kayaks as well for the guests to use. The breakfast is served warm and was the same every day but never got bored of it. Lastly the staff! The manager Mr Bird is just the most helpful person and helps you with everything without a question. The taxi service to and from anywhere in the island is a nice bonus. I did not get his name but the man who drives you around is just the sweetest happy Thai guy ever! Everything about the place and people felt genuinely warm! Will definitely want to come back but if not then will surely recommend every friend and family to stay here. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Definitely worth every single penny I spent”
It surprised me cause it really looks like the pictures when you book. Big and clean but the desk, sofa, bed and etc were a little bit dusty. Jacuzzi was awesome! Their water heater was a minus point, it suddenly turned cold and you have to wait more than 5 minutes for the warm water. Inconvenient when you wish to call for room service or help you have to walk to the lobby cause there's no internal phone in the room. The lobby is not available 24 hours, lobby and restaurant side will totally black out around 9pm which is kinda creepy. Staff were friendly, breakfast was good. Location was quite far from the city, they provide free transport around the island during 8am-9pm. The private beach and the pool were a disappointment! Never had high expectations for the beach but it was lower than expectation. Beach and pool were dirty, the pool and the side bar gave you a abandon area feel. Not sure whether I went there during low season but resort should keep up the standard.

Very friendly staff, luxury decors (for Lipe island), discrete private beach and beautiful sunset views. We spend a few days of our honeymoon here, very thoughtful setup for us too. :) Albeit hotel is a bit far from the centre, hotel owner provide free taxi, free kayak, free snorkelling kit made up for it!

Could not fault this resort. The staff were exceptional! We had an incredible room facing the pool and gorgeous private beach. Nights were spent ordering their delicious room service while sitting in our spa bath with beer in hand. The resort isn't right on the main beach but with free snorkelling equipment and a free taxi service and your own private beach it's worth it!! Thank you so much for an amazing experience.

Quiet beach, expensive but nice and clean. ”
The staff are super attentive. Location is quiet but there is free taxi service by the resort. This island is small so quite ok if you intend to walk. About 5 mins to walking street. The beach is private and quiet. Not as noisy as Pattaya. But my favourite is Sunrise beach. But this resort has excellent breakfast and awesome rooms. We enjoyed our stay a lot. They helped us arranged for the snorkeling as well. Prices are pretty standard on the island so going through the resort is the same.

Beautiful and stunning”
Had a great stay here and I would totally recommend it. Sunset beach side is great. The pool is amazing. Wouldn't want to stay on the other beaches as there are so many tail boats. Swim up pool bar, jacuzzi on the balcony. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. Tuk-Tuk (Taxi's) were always available to take us into town for free. Had no problems at all getting one back from the town (Walking street) late at night at a cost of 50 baht each. The views from the room make it worth the price for sure and the room size is great. We stayed as 3 people and there was plenty of space. Loved, loved, loved!

The resort is located on the Sunset Beach, which is such a private beach. We can even snorkeling and canoeing in front of our resort. The staffs here are very helpful and have a great service mind. The room itself has a very great ocean view and an impressive outdoor jacuzzi. However, the room we booked is quite worn out, some of the lights in our room have broken yet they don’t have the supplies. I think the resort should manage some maintenance in order to keep the room looks new.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my partner and had the best time!! Resort contacted me via agoda and arranged pick up from pier. Resort is absolutely beautiful with private beach and jacuzzi. The staff was extremely attentive and accommodating. The resort is a bit further and secluded from main area but they have a free taxi that takes you where u need to go. Would def recommend and stay again!!
