Stay at Hotel Ancasa, Kuala Lumpur on 15-16/4/2010”

I visit KL yearly during those long weekends and hv stayed with Hotel Ancasa for many times (at least 8-10 visits). I have always been satisfied with their svc and staff, be it the reception staff or housekeeping aunties. It's ideal location is my main choice because me and my partner can grab all our favourite food at all times (till late at nite too). This is one hotel which does not give me the creepy and spooky feeling which I am extremely sensitive at (experienced that in Pudu & Malaya Hotel). Best of all, you do not need to go thru housekeeping to loan hair-dryer because each superior room comes with one in the bath room. Another plus feature which not all hotels have is an iron cum ironing board found in each room (superior type) for my cumble clothes and because of this, I usually do not waste time ironing my clothes before hand if staying in Hotel Ancasa. Best of all, you can find most singaporean's favorite food at the street just below Hotel Ancasa....eg. herbal gui ling guo, louhanguo drink, claypot rice, bak-ku teh, lor mee, famous poridge and chee cheong fun...etc.. Although the room rates at Hotel Ancasa seems to be escalating every year, to me is still a good deal worth staying. I got a better deal booking thru Agoda. I will strongly recommend anyone to try it. Last year Dec '09 I stayed in Rennaisance (5 star) but didnt like it at all because of the inconvenience in getting the local fares. So this time, I switched back to Hotel Ancasa.... the feeling is like coming home.

Ancasa Hotel Kuala Lumpur”

As usual, we have enjoyed our stay at the Ancasa Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. I say as usual as we have stayed here on many occasions over the past 15 years even and witnessed a positive improvement in their room and food quality. Staff service has always been great. The hotel is close to China town and many dining areas as well as transport and one can reach any part of Kuala Lumpur easily by public transport from this place. Value for money is always important to us and on this occasion the price was again one of the deciding factors for us to stay at this hotel and we were satisfied. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who appreciates friendly service, clean rooms, and value for money.

Approachable staffs and amazing location”

My stay in ancasa hotel and spa was totally worth it and its really a highly recommended hotel. From check in to check out everything was great. All the staffs from front desk, saffron, housekeeping and security are very welcoming and friendly.the hotel is also very accessible to almost all of the attractions in kuala lumpur. If you need to go to shopping areas or the twin tower its very near to a train station or if you want to take cab it only cost you few ringgits. Its also walking distance to masjid jamek and kuala lumpur city gallery. The hotel is also very beautiful and clean and even just by walking in the hallway you will be relaxed . Kudos to to the wonderful staff of hotel.

nice hotel to stay. i can't beleive that they have such a good hotel in the center of kuala lumpur with affordable price. all negative thinking flew away after stayed overnight at ancasa hotel. if i have a change to go to kuala lumpur again, the first place i should think, definitely to stay at ancasa hotel. the hotel located nearby lrt station which is convenience for traveller to explore the heart of the city.

A good place for a short Trip”

Ancasa Hotel is located at a central venue, walking distance to Chinatown, Bus Station - Pudu Sentral . The view from Ancasa hotel oversee the KL Tower and Petronas with glittering light at night. The price is reasonable and definitely a good hotel to stay. Furthermore the staff are friendly and polite. There is a SPA and 30% discount is given to all hotel clients. A new look for the hotel is been initiated and the room are well maintained Many different coloured shaded lights in the room is very impressive. For food, all kinds of foods...Chinese, Indian , Malay and others food are available. Nando is just beside the hotel.

The strategic location of Ancasa provides customers with accessibility and ease in reaching the hotel. Ancasa which is located beside Puduraya Station saves customers travelling time. Customers need not spend extra money to reach the hotel. In addition, it is located near to Chinatown, Central Market and Masjid India. Ancasa is also situated near the lrt station which allows their customers to travel to different parts of KL with ease. Ancasa also provides chartered buses to KLCC i.e. at 10am and 11.30am. Overall, Ancasa is highly recommended as it offers a great deal for an acceptable price.

A pleasant stay”

I have been staying in the Ancasa Hotel for the last few trips to KL. This time was probably one of my best stay in the hotel. It was quite clear to us that there were insufficient staff when we checked in but we were assisted by the Assistant Manager, Mr Ramesh. He was very efficient in helping us to sort out the three rooms that we booked and we felt we needed to give him credit for it. Service was great by every staff and it was a pleasant stay. The hotel is next to Chinatown and there are laundry shops, 24 hours if you need one. The eateries and street food are opened till late at night so there is always food available.

My wife and I had been staying in Ancasa hotel since AirAsia started flying. Although it lacks big shopping malls around but the local bus are everywhere. In times one gets to go around Kuala Lumpur city like the locals do.The other great thing is AirAsia shuttle bus are just cross the road opposite Ancasa hotel and that's where they drop you off from LCCT to puduraya too.How great is that. Foods are everywhere around China town and the best foods are hidden in the back alley if you dare to venture into. Over all we loves KL and Ancasa hotel. Another thing, book the hotel early or you will miss out like what we did this trip. We were suppose to stay for 5 nights but were only be able to offer for 1 night.

Decent and comfy cosy stay”

The whole 3D2N experience at Ancasa Hotel & Spa were good! We were satisfied with it. The location is very near to Petaling Street (KL Chinatown) just 3 mins walk from the hotel which is convenient as there are a lot of nice local delicacies, food and drinks. There are also many booths which sell tees, imitation bags, watches, wallets and etc. Check in was quick even though we reached at 9AM and have to wait 2 hours before getting our rooms keys, but we have to put RM100 for each room as deposit which I think is too much to put for a deposit. But to my delightful, my request for clean inter-connecting high floor rooms with windows overlooking the Petronas Twin towers & KL tower were met and they even upgraded us to Deluxe rooms on their Ancasa Floor (12th floor). Rooms & beds were big, tidy and comfortable with a flat screen TV showing some international channel, however their toilets were small with stains on the wall, basin and bath tubs. The blanket, mattress have some few stains. The hotel also provide free shuttle services (one one-way trip everyday)to Bukit Bintang, KLCC & a few tourist attractions but be sure to register early as it is on a first-come-first-serve basis. It is very near to Puduraya bus terminal around 1 min walk whereby u can board buses to travel in/out of Singapore and internally within Malaysia. It is also near to LRT (Pink line) - Pasar Seni station, about 5 mins walk. Although there were 4 lifts in the hotel, it is still quite slow. Amenities were very basic and limited, no bath robes and slippers were provided. Air-con is still cold and good. It is still acceptable given the price per night. Check out were fast and smooth too. To conclude, I will stay in Ancasa Hotel & Spa again and will recommend it to my family, relatives and friends.

Good Accommodation in a Central Location”

The Ancasa Hotel has an excellent location in downtown Kuala Lumpur. We were close to a subway station so travel around KL was easy. Also we were close to Chinatown which was easy to walk around. The Ancasa is a bustling hotel, used by business people, as well as tourists. Some renovations were taking place while we were there but we didn't notice them. We found it to be a good standard of accommodation, for the price, and we stayed there twice during our Asia trip.

Ancasa is my choice”

with the money that we spent for Ancasa Hotel, its really no regret. Cheap and nice place to stay. We are quite happy and satisfied with the environment. You wont have any doubts with the Hotel location. Its just a 5 mins walk from the Hotel to Chinatown. We stayed for 2 nights there, each time we shop at Chinatown and we will back to Hotel to put our things and continue with our shoppinga again, how convenience it is. We will be back to Ancasa Hotel again next time. Continue to have more promotions cause im sure more and more customer will be going to choose Ancasa.

Great stay”

Generally an excellent hotel which we wouldn't hesitate to recomend to anyone visiting KL. The rooms and bathrooms weren't big but they were comfortable and of an adequate size, clean, good aircon and best of all had great views, including the Petronas Towers. The Lobby was on the small size but again adequate and fit for purpose. Highlight was the restaurant where we had some of the best hotel breakfasts that we have had anywhere, with an excellent range of well cooked and flavoured food, for Malay, Chinese and Indian as well as Western. Meals at other times were also good and well presented but somewhat on the pricey side so we didn't eat there very often. Location was nearly perfect with all of Chinatown and most of the Colonial District and Little India being within easy walking distance. Also the Hop on-Hop Off bus stop is just 2 minutes walk away so very convenient. Additionally, with the main KL bus station being literally just round the corner one could just wheel one's luggage there and save bothering with a taxi. For the price, difficult to beat the Ancasa.

Its always been my choice of hotel whenever i stay in kuala lumpur, never change hotel ever since my first time in Ancasa. Convience,good location,friendly staff. Love if Ancasa have Swimming Pool. Afterall, awesome hotel. Thank you Ancasa .

Great location”

ancasa hotel in chinatown offers great shopping, night life and plenty of eateries. Public transport including either taxis or public buses are plentiful. Such a great location. We would recommend to any traveller going to Kuala lumpur.The hotel itself is always clean and staffs are friendly and helpful. If one requires Breakfast lunch or dinner, the hotel restaurant offers great food and entertaining. Great place to be.

Nice 3 star hotel with a great location”

The Ancasa Hotel is conveniently located for travel both in KL and in Penisular Malaysia. The Rakyat elevated train is just a few minutes from the hotel, and the Puduraya Bus Station, which has buses to most locations in the country is just across the street. The rooms and furnishings are a bit worn, but perfectly comfortable and acceptable. Staff were friendly and helpful. I stayed at other, more luxury hotels in KL during my time there, but Ancasa was my favorite for ease in getting around the city.

Location, location, location”

I stayed at Ancasa for five nights. The staff were friendly and helpful. I only ate once at the hotel, for lunch, and that was quiet but great food, freshly cooked. The hotel is located about ten minutes from ChinaTown and a fifteen minute walk from the Central Market. The Call to Prayer was only heard, by me, once each day at sunset, despite the hotel being close to several Mosques. My biggest concern with the hotel was that my room was located over the street, on one corner of the hotel and was very noisy quite late into the night. Double curtains had no effect, double glazed windows are what is needed. My suggestion would be to ask for a room away from the street but the outlook would have to be sacrificed for that. I was able to see the KL Tower lit up at night as well as the goings on on the street at night. The other concern with the hotel was that the internet service was the worst I have experienced in any hotel anywhere in the world. The best place to get continual service was in the lobby and that was not always the quietest spot.

Not my first & definitely not my last!”

Its not my first stay in Ancasa. Firstly we always chose Ancasa if we are driving or riding from Singapore because we trust the security of the carpark. We feel it is very safe because there will security around to always monitor. Its free since we are staying in Ancasa. Secondly, the bed and pillow is very comfortable. Bedsheet are always clean and soft. Toilet are clean also... In our room the hair dryer is not working, called the housekeeping, within few mins was given a hairdryer to replace the spoilt one. Always have good experience with Ancasa. No regrets always!

Value for Money Hotel and Perfect Location.”

It was a great experience for staying in Ancasa. I will come back to Ancasa again if have a chance to visit KL again. Also will strongly recommend to friend and relatives for staying in Ancasa Hotel. You can go to air port using the Star Shuttle Bus service, back and forth. From air port to Pudu, is RM 8. From Pudu to air port costs RM 12 per person. Much cheaper than taking taxi with the killing fare at RM 180-190.

100% satisfied with Ancasa Hotel! Shocked when we saw this hotel as it has a luxuriously decoration but coming with a low price. The room is also quite big and clean Ancasa hotel has a great location too, china town and LRT is just beside it. I'm sure that Ancasa will be my first choice all the time for the trip in KL!
