The English language is unknown, Russian seems to be language No. 1 in this area. Ocean 7 is located at the end of the beach, in order to find sand you need to walk 400-600 meters. When you find the beach you find it full of shit the water is not clear and smelly! An advice do not go to Jomtien if you want to swim in the Sea!

Ensamresenär Germany, den 29 november 2012	Large comfortable room, gentle and helpful staff The room was truly one of the best I have experienced in Thailand 6,7 The room I was offered first was situated on the 4th floor without elevator. Being 80, I could not accept that, so that I was given a standard room without balcony and bathtub on the 1st floor. No money was refunded for the inferior quality of the room. The room had no safe, neither did the hotel have one - very inconvenient. The hotel is situated far away from Jomtien Beach's shops and restaurants. The beach in that part is stony, you have to walk a mile to reach a sandy beach. Tips om shopping: The one good thing about this sorry location is that the street has at least 10 massage parlours with competent and helpful staff.

Ensamresenär United States of America, den 1 november 2012	Not a Good Experience Big Room, near beach 4,7 No phone, no lift, so if you have a question or need something you have to go down some steep, narrow stairs each time, absolutely no amenities, (2 small soaps and a shampoo), there was a small “kitchenette” type area with a sink but nothing was stocked in the cupboards, no cups, no silverware, no tea kettle, just empty, the overhead light in that area did not work. Shower is mounted in a very narrow tub and there is no shower curtain so the floor gets very wet. On the second day the room was not cleaned and did not receive clean towels or linens, went downstairs to get clean towels and there was one woman asleep on the couch and 2 kids on the internet watching TV, could not connect to the internet in the room although it was free. Very inconvenient location, too far for some of the taxis, one taxi made me get out and left me with a 30 minute walk to get to the hotel, on another night I could not get a ride late night from Pattaya, had to pay 200 baht (normally 10 baht). Do yourself a favor and find a closer, nicer hotel even if it costs you a few baht more.

Ensamresenär United Kingdom, den 13 augusti 2012	Very clean hotel 5 mins from beach Clean rooms , friendly staff. 7,7 This hotel is not the frontage shown in the main picture on this site, though the rooms are those that are in the hotel. The rooms were immaculately clean and comfortable. Breakfast was not forthcoming and would have only been served from the small coffe bar in the reception so I decided to eat in the Art cafe next door where i could get a reasonable 'english/american breakfast with a coffee for 79 bht. The reception in the cafe was great and there was a woman there who spoke good english and was also very helpful. The hotel is only an apartment block in an otherwise indistinguishable Thai soi, but once inside your room you were in a spacious 4 star. The beach is not much than a stone throw away and surprised me, as i thought being Jomtien , it would be a nice beach, and yet after the crowds were gone it was strewn with litter , the pavements on the promenade were collapsing and dangerous to walk on wth out great care, especially at night. There are a few massge parlours in the street , which, iam told , will cater for all needs and are open until the early hours of the morning. The hotel is a bit far from the pattaya nightlfe and main Jomtien bar areas. Motorcycles can be hired across the road in another similar hotel at around 200 bht a day,with a 1000bt deposit. The are a is not far from Sukhmvit 3 so travelling around the areas south are easy from here. There is a fantastic assortment of restaurants in the area, especially he one on the corner of the soi as you go onto the promenade. Sightseeing/ tips om sevärdheter: Go to Wat Yang, Wat Mondop and the buddha on the rock face and a chinese temple , all within 5 mins of each other and about 25 mins on a motorcycle, als some of the beaches south of here, look more promising than that at Jomtien, though i did nnot have time to go to them.
