Excellent enviornment and designs of rooms
room decor and the use of wood in the rooms

The rooms were beautiful the wood carvings used in side the room were breath taking. We were greeted by very dedicated staff and were seen off like Kings. I just stayed on night before going to the other parts of teh country and I wished I would have stayed there longer. The hotel is very close to the airport.

An up and down experience
Clean large room, secure, well located for the Boudha stupa

Good standard of hotel for Kathmandu, nice rooms, big, clean and comfortable, and well located for the Boudha stupa. However, there were a number of small issues that blighted the experience. Firstly the internet was down for the majority of our stay, which was understandably frustrating, especially given every other place we visited in Kathmandu had no problems. There was a problem with the a/c in the room, the fridge initially didn't work and the toilet failed to flush at one point, but to be fair all issues were resolved in a fairly speedy manner. It was also rather annoying that on check-out the staff made a rather big deal about a small item missing from the room (a tiny door hanging to signal the room needs cleaning), which given how much we had paid for the room seemed rather stingy. All of these issues gave us the impression the hotel was short of money and missing that extra quality that makes a top hotel.

Comfortable hotel
Hotel is comfortable and convenient for the airport. The back rooms are quieter. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Exceeded Expectations
Location, Staff, and Great Value

We booked this hotel because we wanted to stay somewhere nice after backpacking in the Himalaya for a few weeks. This hotel was just what we needed. The staff is incredibly friendly and the hotel is nicer than I expected for the price. We had a great hot shower and delicious/well-priced meals at the balcony restaurant. Overall this hotel is nice, relaxing, and has a great location in the Tibetan Buddhist area of Kathmandu.

Slightly offensive staff but superb room

We arrived with backpacks on our backs, looking a bit fatigued from traveling and getting sick too often during our trip, and subsequently the staff treated us as though we were not meant to stay at their hotel, questioning whether we "knew the rate of the room" as though it might be too much for us. It was not obviously (don't judge a book by its cover) and yet the staff continued to treat us a bit strangely throughout our stay, saying also that we needed to pay up front -- an insult that we did not surrender to. However, the room -- its plush bed and big bathtub, endless hot water, tea maker, etc. -- was a welcome retreat. The location though is so-so. It is on the main ugly road near the stupa (paces away, really), but it is nicer to stay inside the old city, nearer the stupa, for better atmosphere.

We had a very enjoyable four night stay.
The staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was clean and spacious. Very good value for money.

Nice hotel close to Boudna

The hotel conveniently located to Boudha but a bit outside of other Kathmandu sights. The food in the restaurant was very nice. Rooms are large and comfortable. Staff was friendly
